Adult Sunday School Class
“Yes, Lord, I have sinned,
but I have several excellent
excuses.”
We have all been in that mental framework if we are honest with ourselves, so the Adult Lifestyles
Class is going to examine our sins/excuses for
12 weeks beginning June 7.
A study book titled “Yes, Lord, I Have Sinned,
But I Have Several Excuses,” a short video introduction
to each Sunday’s message, and a
lot of laughter-filled discussion are the methods
for dealing with the topic.
The June 7 theme is the book’s title, with June’s remaining lessons being on “The Sin of
Just Talking a Good Game,” “The Sins that Reduce
Us to Shameful Silence,” and “The Sin of
Halfheartedness.” Humor and to-the-point challenge
are components of writer James W.
Moore’s books, and this one is no different as
he deals with “our lame excuses for our arrogance,
dishonesty, hostility and presumptuousness”
over the 12 weeks.
All adults are invited to be involved in the lessons.
A “drop-in” gathering, your previous or
future attendance makes no difference. The invitation
is open to all each Sunday. We meet at
10:30 a.m. in the classroom off the HeBrew
Café. Patty Moore is the facilitator.
Being a part of a group is not only a great way
to learn but also to experience the comfort of
knowing others in similar circumstances.
